Today we take you to another genre of photography, which might sound new, called “Alternative Photography (Hereafter to be called ‘AP’)”. Emerging from west, this concept has also taken birth in India at the most spectacular place for any kind of photography, GOA. AP basically teaches you to use original historic processes, materials and technologies to take a image or snap. What we Indians lack here is the exposure of international standards for preservation, conversation and restoration treatment, storage and exhibition of photographic materials. GOA CAP, an institute in Goa for AP, strives to educate India’s future photographers about the historic techniques its usage, to promote AP in all its diverse forms as an art form. They promise to strengthen the art institutes in India in order to improve their capacity both theoretical and technical.
Guys its let us think beyond Fashion, Wild life, documentary photography and first educate India as to how important role does photography plays in exposing one country to the rest of the world.
The famous American Photographer and Painter, Edward Steichen, has rightly quoted,
“Photography records the gamut of feelings written on the human face, the beauty of the earth and skies that man has inherited, and the wealth and confusion man has created. It is a major force in explaining man to man.”
In today’s world it’s very important to first be Educated and then skilled. A person with high skills but lack of relevant education can cause serious problems to the society.
